How Does a Decoded Battery Work?

With decoded batteries, the original BMS flex cable (Battery Management System) from the old battery is transferred to the new one. This cable contains the serial number and battery data that the iPhone uses to identify the component.

After transferring, the flex cable must be correctly attached to the contact point on the new battery. The included adhesive pad set is used to secure and insulate the transferred flex cable. This ensures a stable connection, allowing the iPhone to recognize the battery as “original” without showing the “Important Battery Message.”
